When the wrinkles deepen, only drastic and costly anti-wrinkle measures like Botox injections and facelifts are effective. Yet the effects of some of these expensive methods are only temporary and often require regular treatments to maintain their short term results.  This cost to maintain the youthful look can easily cost thousands of dollars every year. Some people might have this kind of money but I surely do not.


Usually it is more justifiable to seek invasive wrinkle removal methods when the wrinkles and facial lines are deep. Now, instead of waiting for that to happen, why not try to prevent that from happening? Wouldn’t that be better? At the minimum, shouldn’t we reduce the lines while we still can? If so, facial exercises that prevent wrinkles and fine lines may be the best option to consider.


Regardless of your age, you can start doing the facial exercises at any time. And if you are one of those lucky ones who’s face are free of wrinkles, facial exercises will prevent new ones from forming and keep your face looking young.


Why are facial exercises effective for wrinkle prevention, reduction and possible elimination? Well, just like exercising other parts of our body, facial exercises tone muscles so that they are elastic and strong enough to withstand sagging and folding. Thus wrinkles are less likely to show up. And for those facial lines which are already there, the exercises can help to reduce their appearance with possibility of eliminating them altogether.


Don’t forget that not only can these exercises reduce wrinkles, doing facial exercises near the eyes also eliminate puffy eyes, eye bags and dark circles by improving the blood circulation.


The marvel of it all is that these exercises can be done at any time of the day. Even when you are working in the office, you can spend a couple of minutes to work on your facial muscles without your colleagues noticing it.


There is also no age restriction either. You can do it if you are in your twenties, thirties, and even sixties. In fact, facial exercise also help to eliminate the “plump look” by eliminating facial fat as well.


Are there any drawbacks to facial exercise? In a way, yes. You need to have the discipline and patience to do it consistently to reap its benefits.  Do not give up after doing it once or twice. Doing it once per week is not going to help much. In order for facial exercises to prevent and eliminate wrinkles effectively, it is recommended to do it at least 3 times per week. yet it is worth your time and effort especially if you wish to look a few years younger than your actual age.


Almost sound like a miracle but to take it to the next level, you should include the use of facial care products as part of your facial care routine.  This means that other than sunblock and moisturizing cream, you should be applying skin tightening cream and anti aging night cream to keep your skin at best condition.
