Green typically represents nature, thus is has great healing powers. Because it is the most restful color for the human eye, it has also been known to improve vision. As the color meaning “go” on a stoplight, it generally is associated with safety and free-will. Thus, it can make people feel less constrained and more connected to the Earth. Green is also known to promote Earth-friendly activities like recycling or being “good” to the planet. Thus, it is now associated with “going green” environmentally. Red stands for: Power, Passion, Courage, Warmth, Beauty, Persistence, Drive and Strength.

Red is a power color, which is why many color therapists find it can help the human body feel energized. It is known to help those who are tired and lethargic. The color red is also known to stimulate low blood pressure and boost blood circulation. It’s also known to stimulate the human appetite which is the reason many restaurants and dining areas are now being painted red. On the flip side, it is known to make certain individuals feel agitated, angry or over stimulated.
Colors can bring about certain energy in the air when they are worn or viewed. Numerous studies have been done to prove the impact colors have on the human brain. In fact, there are many effects of the color red.

Everyone knows color matters. What is your favorite color? Passionate red? peaceful blue? Eye catching Green? Did you know the color of your clothing conveys different messages about you?

There is an entire science behind it called color psychology. Color Psychology refers to the study of how human behavior is affected by color.
Not only can colors affect human behavior it can also be used in healing. Some colors will soothe or irritate your eyes, calm you down or irritate the hell out of you. Some will even suppress your desire to eat and eat and eat.
Colors are something we run into every day. It is deeply intertwined with our everyday life. Almost all of our decisions in life is affected by color one way or another.
